K&N Electric Motors has an opening for an Inside Sales Representative at their Missoula, MT branch.

Job Summary

The Inside Industrial Sales Representative performs a variety of duties specific to handling sales calls with outside sales people, industrial customers and vendors.  This position pays close attention to detail.  Also, the representative deals with customers and outside sales people effectively.

Objectives for this position include developing and maintaining a highly respectable image of the company in the eyes of customers, vendors and competitors, maintaining and improving the company's profitability, and providing time for unsurpassed customer service.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Respond to incoming sales calls in a courteous and timely manner.  This is a top priority.

Maintain a record of all phone calls and conversations in order to ensure customer needs are accurately met. 

Process customer orders and requests in a timely manner, advising on product application, availability, correct part and/or catalog number, shipping charges, and price.

Advise industrial customers and outside sales personnel of the status of all their in-house jobs. Continue to update delivery schedules.

Process all paper work in a proper and timely manner and to the correct departments.

Work with Purchasing or vendors when necessary for product availability, application, price, shipping dates and delivery charges.

Confer with office, shop and management staff on all issues relating to customer service. Make recommendations for improvements in our customer service.

Promote a professional company image through prompt, thorough, and courteous customer service.

Track all quotations to insure timely follow-up on customer inquiries.

Attend company or vendor / manufacture sponsored training seminars to improve product knowledge and/or job skills.

Keep work area clean and neat as directed by your supervisor.

Develop and implement a telemarketing program to support our outside sales effort and to supplement our truck routes. This is also necessary to develop business with our non-partnership accounts.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Work harmoniously with other employees, giving assistance necessary to satisfy customer's needs.

Education/Experience:   High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).  Formal computer training for basic input and word processing. Experience in sales and customer service as well as basic knowledge in electrical apparatus, are desirable.

Certificates/Licenses:  No certifications required 

Physical Abilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

•             Regularly talk and hear

•             Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

•             Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses.  Have ability for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
