Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho (GSEWNI) is looking for a full-time Product Sales Manager.

The Product Program Manager will deliver the largest entrepreneurship program that Girl Scouts offers, the Girl Scout Cookie Sale, to Girls across Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho,  Additionally, the Product Sales manager with develop and deliver the Fall Sale of nuts and candy.  This position is an integral component of the Girl Scout mission and a large part of the council operations team.  In partnership with the Chief of Mission Delivery you will execute an annual Product Sales Budget, and strategic plan.  The Product Program Manager will provide volunteer support and engagement, will coordinate logistics of product sales, inventory management, and finance reconciliation.  The Girl Scout Cookie sale is the largest Girl-led business in the world and provides girls with lifelong skills.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
  • Recommends objectives and plans for council’s product programs
  • Provides input for the annual operating budget for product programs including incentives
  • Primary Liason with GSUSA’s Digital Cookie Team
  • Oversee and manage sales platforms (currently: Unify and eBudde)
  • In partnership with CMDO and Marketing Director develop promotional strategies for sales
  • Provide consistent support to all SUCM’s and Troop leaders
  • Provide training and oversee a core team of volunteers to manage area product programs including the utilization of product sales database
  • Assist with development of training materials
  • Ensure proper sales agreements are collected from SUCM’s and Troop leaders
  • Works with membership team to support membership goals and council objectives
  • Ensure accuracy of eBudde and Unify data, including booth location data
  • Secure booth sale locations with help of Product Program team members
  • Manage volunteers access and assist with technology issues throughout product sales
  • Manages inventory and logistics of product sales distribution, collections and events
  • Serves as liaison to product and shipping companies to ensure timely delivery of products to volunteers who coordinate sales at the local level
  • Provides professional and quality customer service to members, volunteers, staff, and other community contacts
  • Maintains contact and provides methods for connecting volunteers to product program-related resources, opportunities, activities, and events
  • Ensures product programs are Girl focused and highlight the Girl Leadership Experience and outcome aspects of the product program and promotes a high level of girl participation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or two years relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance. 
  • Willingness to subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout movement, including acceptance of the Girl Scout philosophy and willingness to maintain membership in the Girl Scouts USA.
  • Must be experienced in the use of computers, including word processing, Outlook, spreadsheets, and the internet.
Work Environment:   

While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee is exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.  Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment is an integral part of this position, as is the ability to work with high-stress situations based on the nature of GSEWNI mission and daily work.


GSEWNI is a non-profit organization. The GSEWNI council serves an area comprised of 19 counties in central and eastern Washington, and 10 counties in northern Idaho for a total of 29 counties covering 67,000 square miles. The council is headquartered in Spokane, Washington and has regional field staff located in the Tri-Cities, Washington and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. GSEWNI serves approximately 4,000 girls in kindergarten through 12th grade with the help of 2,000 dedicated adult volunteers. Girls are at the center of everything we do as a council. Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls, the leading authority on girls’ healthy development and we are working daily with girls and women to transform the leadership landscape for girls into the next century
