Human Resources Generalist needed at Spokane Eye Clinic to work closely with the Human Resources Director and Human Resources Assistant/Payroll Specialist. Primary duties will include managing the FMLA program and Safety Officer duties for approximately 300 staff in 3 locations. Will assist with posting open positions, applicant correspondence, and processing background/reference checks. Will perform a variety of tasks including maintaining records, data entry, filing, and running reports. Participates in drafting/reviewing/updating policies and procedures and job descriptions for accuracy as well as governmental compliance. Assists with worker’s compensation claims and reporting. Monitors required annual course compliance for staff and processes certifications applications and renewals. Audits employee leave records, payroll reports, and benefit deductions to ensure accuracy. Prefer applicants with an AA or Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Administration, or equivalent HR experience of 2 to 4 years and HR certification. Solid skills and knowledge base with MS Office Suite required and preferably experience with an HRIS software plus the ability to type 40+ WPM. Work week is full-time, Monday through Friday at our downtown location on 5th and Bernard. Must enjoy and thrive in a complex, fast paced work environment.
