Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho (GSEWNI) is looking for a full-time Product Sales and Development Coordinator.

The position assists in developing and executing strategies to build the capacity of the Girl Scout product program. The role will perform all tasks necessary to execute product sales which include assisting with the development and distribution of materials and rewards, inventory management, sale reconciliation, community engagement, volunteer and staff training, customer service, and support of girls and parents. Work cross-departmentally on projects, sale execution, and to support membership growth and program goals.

This is a full time position based out of the Spokane, WA office. A typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8a-5p with availability to work weekends and evenings to support business needs seasonally.

GSEWNI is a non-profit organization. The GSEWNI council serves an area comprised of 19 counties in central and eastern Washington, and 10 counties in northern Idaho for a total of 29 counties covering 67,000 square miles. The council is headquartered in Spokane, Washington and has regional field staff located in the Tri-Cities, Washington and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. GSEWNI serves approximately 4,000 girls in kindergarten through 12th grade with the help of 2,000 dedicated adult volunteers. Girls are at the center of everything we do as a council. Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls, the leading authority on girls’ healthy development and we are working daily with girls and women to transform the leadership landscape for girls into the next century

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with development of creative and proactive training for staff to ensure knowledge of product programs is available and support to volunteers and customers is consistent. 
  • Assists with development of training materials and provides training to volunteers to ensure consistent delivery of product programs.
  • Develops and maintains cookie booth information and works with community partners to establish booth sales, maintains sales in sales platform, and assists volunteers with selections.
  • Helps develop strategic plan and execution of cookie rallies.  Provides support and distributes materials for all SU rallies.
  • Responsible for set-up, maintenance and volunteer support for all online product sales databases and sales platforms.
  • Collaborates with SU team volunteers on all aspects of product sales; to include training, booth sales, rallies, etc.
  • Assist in developing a proactive recruitment and retention strategy to increase adult volunteers engagement in programs.
  • Collaborates with team to develop rewards strategies and Girl engagement.
  • Maintains accurate records of product inventory, sales records, financial records and reports.
  • Provides exceptional and timely customer service to volunteers, parents, and girls.
  • Seasonal management of council cookie cupboard which includes receiving and issuing cookies and efficiently tracking documentation of all transactions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with experience in an office environment with superior customer service, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to pass background check.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurability required.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Must be experienced with office equipment, multi-line phone system.
  • Must be experienced in the use of computers including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook. CRM experience, especially Salesforce, desirable. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies with ability to understand the basic data quality principles and practice. Must be able to compile information and develop related reports, using council software.
  • Willingness to subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout movement, including acceptance of the Girl Scout philosophy and willingness to maintain membership in the Girl Scouts USA.
Work Environment:   
While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee is exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.  Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment is an integral part of this position, as is the ability to work with high-stress situations based on the nature of GSEWNI mission and daily work.

Some travel will be required based on the work demand throughout the 29-county area and/or conferences and conventions as approved.
