Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician/Ophthalmic Photographer needed at Spokane Eye Clinic. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic testing on patients such as visual fields, color vision testing, pachymetry, OCTs, A-scans and B-scans. This position may also be responsible for assisting Ophthalmologists and Optometrists by performing ophthalmic clinical functions as necessary including patient work ups and administering eye medications. Other duties include cleaning, stocking, ordering, maintaining equipment, documenting in patient records, and other duties as assigned. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. One plus years of experience as an ophthalmic technician strongly preferred, but we may be willing to train the right candidate with medical or customer service experience. Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA through JCAHPO) preferred or willingness to take the test within 1 year. Applicants with strong computer skills (including 40+ WPM keyboarding) and/or a photography background often excel in this position. Must become certified as needed for clinical studies.
