Girl Scouts of Eastern WA & Northern ID is looking for a Regional Chief Mission Delivery Officer in the Tri-Cities or Yakima area.
 

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Southeast Region of our council, including Tri-Cities, Yakima, Walla Walla, and surrounding communities, is an essential part of our Council’s growth strategy. The Regional Chief Mission Delivery Officer will lead the effort to expand our presence in this region by elevating the Girl Scout experience by addressing a number of Council priorities including recruiting, philanthropy, and programming. This position will be an extension of the Spokane-based C-suite to help broaden our connections in this region.

The Regional Chief Mission Delivery Officer will participate in recruiting and troop support efforts with other regional staff, and will be responsible for initiating outreach activities through a successful expansion of our Pathfinding program. This position will cultivate philanthropy and sponsorship successes, coordinating efforts with the Council’s Director of Philanthropy and CEO. In addition, this position will augment local programming activities in liaison with the Girl Experience Director and the Chief Operating Officer. Finally, this position will help evaluate the feasibility of reestablishing a brick and mortar presence in the region.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:

  • Works with CEO, COO and CFO to ensure strategies outlined in Strategic Plan are achieved in regional operations.
  • Works with COO and Director of Membership to create or modify processes and systems as needed to ensure the needs and objectives are met for the Council membership strategy.
  • Direct and coordinate outreach and Pathfinding program for the region.
  • Work with regional recruiter and regional troop support to provide support as needed.
  • Elevate a customer-centric environment in region.
  • Perform regional programming to Girl Scouts in liaison with Girl Experience Director.
  • Augment Director of Philanthropy efforts in region.
  • Responsible for creating a positive experience for volunteers and Girl Scouts in region.
  • Imagine, brainstorm and investigate the feasibility of reestablishing retail operations and shared space services for Girl Scouts in select communities in the region.
  • Responsible for support of business process services as directed by appropriate Council staff.
  • Supports customer service of regional Board of Directors.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Three years experience in sales, development or strategic planning preferred.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, computer systems and multi-use phone system.
  • Willingness to subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout movement, including acceptance of the Girl Scout philosophy and willingness to maintain membership in the Girl Scouts USA.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurability required.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required.

Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

On occasion, lift objects up to 25 pounds, repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. On occasion, climb, pull, stoop, kneel, crawl, twist and crouch. Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, and work in inclement weather. Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness).

Work Environment:

While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee is exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels. Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment is an integral part of this position, as is the ability to work with high-stress situations based on the nature of GSEWNI mission and daily work. The position is a remote position.

Evening and weekend work, and travel up to 20% of the time, may be required.
